Public registration lookup services can show information such as a domain’s registrar, registration status and nameservers. Available fields vary by extension and privacy requirements; not all registrant or contact details are public.
For generic extensions such as .com, use the ICANN Registration Data Lookup tool, which uses RDAP. For Australian domains, refer to the registry lookup and management resources provided by auDA or your registrar.
A public lookup does not give access to the domain account or prove that someone can authorise changes. Access and registrant details need to be checked separately before transfers, ownership changes or DNS work.
If you need help with a domain you already own, send the domain name and explain the change or issue. Do not send account passwords in an ordinary support message; we can agree the access needed.
