What is Email Forwarding? Print

  • 215

Email forwarding sends messages addressed to one email address on to another. A forwarder is not necessarily a separate mailbox with its own storage, sent-mail history or sign-in.

Forwarding availability, limits and costs depend on the domain, hosting or email service you have. It is not automatically included with every domain registration.

Before arranging forwarding, tell Damien which address should receive mail and where it should be delivered. We can confirm whether you need a forwarder, an alias or a mailbox and which service should manage it.

Forwarding does not automatically set up the ability to send as the original address. Sending permissions and mail authentication need separate configuration. If you need to keep mail in the original mailbox as well, confirm that requirement before changes are made.

Contact support@abpages.com to confirm the appropriate setup and any work or subscription costs.
